Ella Rue is an award-winning graphic designer and artist living in Califon, NJ. She is also an accomplished writer, with articles, interviews and poetry published in a variety of venues.
Ella earned her Associates of Arts Degree from Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC), a Bachelor of Studio Arts Degree from Montclair State University, a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Technology, with an emphasis in Media Literacy, from New Jersey City University, and is currently enrolled at Marywood University working towards the terminal degree of Master of Fine Arts.
She has served on the New Jersey Commission on Higher Education, as well has serves on the New Jersey Community College Team for Tomorrow, Blue Ribbon Commission. She served one term on the RVCC Board of Trustees, in addition to serving on the RVCC Graphic Design Advisory Board. Ella has also spoken to the New Jersey Senate on behalf of NJ’s community colleges. She was “Distinguished Chapter President” of the RVCC chapter of Phi Theta Kappa and was also the founding president of the internationally recognized Phi Theta Kappa Middle States Regional Alumni Association.
More recently, Ella served as National Conference Chair, as well as National Competition Chair for the University, & College Designer Association (UCDA), as well as serving four years on UCDA Designer Magazine’s Advisory Board.
